For 20 years, Nikos Barpakis has been one of the important presences in the field of contemporary culture in the country, organizing thematic events and collective networking efforts. By integrating the arts, especially music and street art, he seeks the interaction of cultural services with the media, tourism and alternative communities, both in the city and in the countryside. Nikos is an internationally recognized DJ selector, co-owner of the Lab Art concert venue in Volos, a key member of the Music Festival, as well as the founder of the Music Festival member of ATA Alternative Tours and Plenty Projects, non-profit initiatives with open actions dealing with the urban space. As an independent producer & (plus) organizer, he participated in hundreds of performances of selected Greek artists and collaborations of foreign artists: Bonobo, Imany, Gramatik, Stereo MC's, Tiger Lillies, Dj Krush, Dj Andy Smith Portishead, Kadebostany, Thievery Corporation, Sokratis Malamas, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Yiannis Aggelakas, Marina Satti, Phoebus Delivorias, K.Vivi Xylouris White et al.At the same time, as a host agent and travel coordinator, he has contributed to the promotion of dozens of emerging artists and has participated in numerous festival events, most recently in film productions.His constant involvement with the public and the public, as well as in Socio-cultural innovation programmes highlight his deep understanding of the evolving cultural scene. As a founding member of Culture for Change, he currently serves as Vice President of the outreach@cultureforchange.net
