CULTURAL HERITAGE

SECRETS OF OFELTI

“Secrets of Opheltis” is a project of EFA Corinth, in collaboration with Diadrasis, for the Archaeological Site of Nemea, which has been awarded the European Cultural Heritage label. The aim of the project is to highlight the fundamental European values reflected in the area and the Nemean Games. Through the project, local society and visitors will explore the sporting heritage of Ancient Nemea in order to critically analyze the concepts of equality, peaceful coexistence and social inclusion—values that are vital to maintaining social cohesion through time. “Secrets of Opheltis” is now a free online game for mobile phones, designed for the Archaeological Site of Nemea. Guided by Ofeltis, players tour the halls of the Museum, the Archaeological Site and the Stadium. They solve puzzles and, through fun activities, discover the secrets of the Nemean Games. The game can be played either individually or as a group and is aimed at children aged 10 years and older as well as adults with a toddler's heart! The game is hosted on the “Actionbound” app and will initially be available for two years (2024-2025) in Greek and English.
