Heritage Managers' BootCamp Training is a 16-week intensive capacity building programme of the Heritage Commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with Diadrasis and the Institute of International Education (IIE). Designed in the form of blended learning, it includes an in-person introductory meeting in Riyadh, nine weeks of online lectures, and two weeks of educational travel to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Heritage Managers' BootCamp Training” will be completed with capstone projects, i.e. individual projects, in which participants will apply their knowledge to the cultural spaces they manage or work, and the results of which will be presented and evaluated at the final meeting.The purpose of the project is to empower 12 cultural managers of Saudi Arabia with knowledge and skills related to the management and conservation of cultural heritage sites, both national and World Heritage listed UNESCO (WHS). Participants will learn about the key themes necessary to create a management plan, adapted to the respective cultural heritage site.
