The AK.TE.S. (Pocket Arts Academy) is a socio-cultural program designed for small island regions. It aims to strengthen the participation of children in the life of the community (active citizenship), to support local government with innovative participatory tools for sustainable cultural development and to support artists to travel and contact small communities in the Aegean. The program is developed with the help of artistic experimentation through the hospitality of artists during the winter months, involving children in a process of co-creation of actions on a topic related to a strategic area of development of island (e.g. tourism, culture, environment, etc.).
