Natasa Chanta-Martin is a Greek-American artist, cultural manager and dance anthropologist. She uses movement to approach music and promotes intercultural dialogue through the performing arts. She specializes in clacettes, body music and is inspired by her experience in flamenco and Indian rhythmology. Natasa has a master's degree in dance anthropology and ethnochology. She has designed the MOAM-moving Around Music, Athens Tap Jam and Body Music Studygroup initiatives while also being an active member of Anasa Cultural Center, PLAYGROUND for the arts and International Body Music Festival. A graduate of the START-Create Cultural Change cultural management program, she has been a regional coordinator for Greece for Bosch Alumni Network, a member of the temporary management team of START alumni and a member of the management team of Culture for Change. Natasa works with festivals, educational institutions, cultural and artistic institutions, as well as civil society organisations as a performer, educator, facilitator, researcher and producer. Her great interest is the partnership of art and culture with society through innovative sociocultural tools. You will find Natasa frequenting venues where African cultures, inclusion and accessibility, migrant and refugee rights, the expression of the queer community and older people are promoted.
