ANGELIKI TSELIOU

BIOGRAPHY

Angeliki Tseliou studied Linguistics and Literary Translation and holds a D.E.A. in Modern Greek Studies from the Institut Néohellénique of the University Paris IV-Paris Sorbonne. She is a scholar of the Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation and of the Centre de la Traduction Littéraire, Institut Français d'Athènes.She has worked with the National Book Centre as a programme and website manager, the youth supplement of the newspaper Kathimerini as an editor-in-chief, ATHOC 2004 as a project manager, PostScriptum, Information Architecture as a content manager, and various publishing houses such as Patakis, Polis, Metaixmio, Kritiki, Erevnites, and Explorer as a project manager, content and communication consultant, publishing manager, and book translator.Since 2016, she has focused on cultural education programmes with a strong social impact, such as the "Open Schools" of the Municipality of Athens (partner of the Local Society Participation Axis, 2016), "Kids4thecity" (project manager, 2016-2019), "Next Station: Victoria" (concept & coordination, 2020), and more.Since September 2021, she has been coordinating the NPO Places & Traces, which aims to design and implement projects that highlight contemporary place identity through interdisciplinary cultural education activities, contribute to strengthening community ties, and promote local partnerships and inclusion. Some indicative projects include the 'Ypsipyli Project' (2022-24), 'The Lemnian mandra Project' (2024) and others.She is a member of several civil society networks such as the Bosch Alumni Network, Culture for Change (board member 2020-2022), European Forum for Freedom in Education (EFFE, board member 2019-present), and local grassroots initiatives (coordinator, 2011-2021).
