Since 2017, Voltaro has been the landmark action of the Region of Central Macedonia and specifically the Deputy Region for Development and Environment, for sustainable mobility and green cities. The daily action Voltaro takes place every year on the coastal front of Thessaloniki in order to highlight the local ecosystem and the new technologies that have been developed in the fields of mobility, sustainable mobility, circular economy, green cities and much more. In total, more than 80 institutions, enterprises and educational institutions and more than 4.000 citizens have actively participated in Voltaro every year!

For us, Voltaro is not just a project. It is a practical case study (example) of 6 years of meaningful cooperation between the Region, civil society actors, private enterprises and academia.

Each year, the preparations of the project are based on a co-planning process, which starts with this year's goal and the pillars of the action. Digital management of an action of this magnitude requires a very good design in digital programs (asana, miro, google drive, slack) managed by a group of different partners.
