Since 2019 Placemaking Europe has been connecting professionals, academics and researchers, activists and community members, market players, and spatial policy makers across Europe with the aim of highlighting placemaking as a practice that empowers communities, revitalizes the place and lays the foundations for more sustainable cities and places. Through its work, the network networks and empowers its community, developing its skills, creating and offering original theory and tools, and influencing the way local government integrates placemaking into the planning and planning system of space and communities. The beacon of our actions is the annual Placemaking Week Europe festival which is co-formed with our community in a different city each year.
