Sofia Xenelli has studied Archaeology and Art History. She has completed the Master's program in Museology and Cultural Management of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as the Master's degree in Theory and History of Fine Arts, majoring in exhibition curation, museum pedagogy, cultural management and art history. During her studies, she did an internship at the Ephorate of Aerial Antiquities and MoMus Museum of Modern Art - Kostakis Collection. She even based her thesis on the Kostakis Collection and specifically on the works of the Russian avant-garde associated with theatrical innovation. She participated with her voluntary work in the 6th and 7th Biennale of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki, where she was introduced to the world of contemporary art. In October 2023 she organized and curated a group exhibition of contemporary art at the cultural venue Tag Project Space, entitled “Mora. Confessions of sleep paralysis” (Mora. Confessions of sleep paralysis). She is currently collaborating with the cultural center of African Arts and Cultures Anasa to hold a group art exhibition. In her spare time she writes fairy tales for young and old. She has also been awarded the 2nd Prize for her fairy tale entitled “The Stone King” in the framework of a fairytale competition of PUKKA art studio.
