Katerina Liapopoulou is a performer and theatre teacher. She holds a master's degree in Theatre Studies from the Open University of Cyprus (AKPY) and a graduate of the Florina School of Agriculture. She has been working as an actor and director since 2013. She has worked as an assistant director with Eleni Efthymiou and Themis Moumoulidis. She has written and adapted plays for all ages, after completing the Creative Writing program of the EKPA and theater writing of the Proia Theatre's firing school. Performance is the genre in which he is most active and he has attended the corresponding workshops of the National Theatre, the program “Performance Theory and Practice”. of the University of Patras, etc. She is a certified adult educator, she has graduated from the School of Theatre Animation Instructors and Facilitator of Playmaking Groups. She is a founding member of the group Arts Actions, where all the members are technoscientists from different fields and mainly create based on performance writing. She has been a member of Europe's network of young artists 'Rotes n Routes' for 12 years, and is now a member of the Culture for Change network. Also in 2023 she participated in the program “Theater, education and society” of the National Theater. She has directed performances for children and adults, has curated and implemented educational programs in Greece and abroad, is a facilitator in performance and creative groups. She is currently preparing for doctoral studies based on the research of performance and space in the natural and urban fabric of the city of Athens, with areas such as the climatic footprint of art, ecosynography, oral testimony and the influence of history on the present.
