Katerina Gnafaki is a cultural manager and independent curator. As a professional in the field of arts, she has worked for many years in the realization of contemporary art exhibitions, such as the Berlin Biennale, documenta14 and the Athens Biennale. As a cultural events manager, she has directed a wide range of public programs in practices related to music and sound and has collaborated with institutions and festivals such as the Syros International Film Festival (GR), Akademie der Kunste (DE), Ars Electronica (AU), Heroines of Sound (DE), Fête de la Musique (GR), transmediale festival for art and digital culture (DE), Onassis STEGI (GR) and Impakt Festival (NL). In 2020-2021, she curated the programming of sound events at Centrum, a contemporary art venue in Berlin. Between 2020-2022 she worked in charge of organizing exhibitions of Tactical Tech and collaborated with the organizations HAU Hebbel am Ufer (DE), Deutsches Technikmuseum (DE), MOD (AU) and OBA Oosterdok (NL) for various exhibitions. From 2019-2024 she was Project Manager at Nature Loves Courage, a boutique festival and artist hosting program for experimental club music in Crete. She is a Fellow of the academic program Art and Curatorial Practice from the New Centre for Research and Practice for the academic year 2024-2025.
