George Sarlis is MSc Cultural Administrator, MA Internationalist and European Funding Advisor. Since September 2018, he is co-founder of MOSAIC//CULTURE & CREATIVITY, an organization that encourages cultural and social innovation, supports creative entrepreneurship and activates the growth potential of cultural and creative industries. In 2013, he founded SYNERGY EUROPEAN CONSULTING LTD in London, where he lived, which provides specialized services for European financing, project development and management, as well as consulting on strategic and policy issues, and since 2022 it has been relocated and operates in Greece.
From 2015 to 2016 he served as Executive Director of the Nomination Office for the European Capital of Culture 2021 of the Municipality of Larissa. He is currently part of the expert group providing services to the upcoming European Capitals of Culture (ECOC) through the European Commission's 'Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture' initiative. He graduated from the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University, was trained in the subject of the European Union and Developing Countries and has completed his postgraduate studies in Cultural Unit Management at the Hellenic Open University.
