PHOTINI PAPAHATZI

BIOGRAPHY

Photini is a versatile professional with a diverse background in cultural management, education, and the arts. Holding a Master's degree in Arts Management from City University of London and a degree in European Civilization from Hellenic Open University, she is deeply engaged in various cultural networks and initiatives. She is a member of the Bosch Alumni Network, of Culture for Change network, a Tandem-Turkey recipient, a fellow of START Create Cultural Change program and an Anna Lindh Foundation Creativity grant recipient (twice).Since 2007, Photini has been actively involved in designing and implementing socio-cultural projects across Greece's periphery. She has collaborated, among others, with Akropoditi Dance Fest (2023-2025), Giortes Rokkas (2019-2025), Preveza Jazz Festival (2018-2025), Artifactory (since 2017, as a founding member), AMAKA (2017-2022), Photometria International Photography Festival (2013-2015), CulturePolis (2007-2016), Kinetika (www.kinetika.co.uk) (2002-2004), the Greek Refugee Forum, and the NGO Arsis.She is a certified trainer in adult education, facilitating non-formal education programs and photography workshops. Since 2016 she is leading the platform "Postcards from home", an international art community that reflects and creates on the theme of home in collaboration with photographers, curators, researchers, and institutions worldwide.She has organised and participated in contemporary art exhibitions and in photography exhibitions in NY, Cuba, UK, Germany, Greece, FYROM, Russia and Croatia. She has worked as a Promoter of Steve Wynn's concert in Epirus and as a Promoter of Cristina Vilallonga (Half Note jazz club, 2007. “The Tango of Return”, 3rd Festival “Musicians of the World” of the Municipality of Preveza. 2003, 'Tangos de Ida y Vuelta' for the Tango Duo Christina Vilallonga and Gustavo Beytelmann, members of the Gotan Project, at Ronnie Scotts Club, Frith St., London, 2003).
