Dimitrios lives and works in Athens. He studied Theatre at the Veaki Higher School of Dramatic Art (2007), Occupational Therapy at I.E.C., and is a graduate of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University. In 2019, as an independent researcher of ancient Greek tragedy, he received an important scholarship (START) from the Robert Bosch Stiftung and implemented in Germany the project “The Theater of Healing | Research into the healing properties of ancient Greek drama and rhythm”. Since then, he has been exploring the possibilities of ancient Greek tragedy as a means of healing and individual empowerment. As an artist he has collaborated with major cultural institutions and artistic entities in Greece and abroad such as: National Theatre of Greece, Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Delphi Cultural Center, Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Cultural Center of Delphi, Athens Concert Hall ReCompulsive Behaviours, Kappatos Gallery, Entropia Ensemble, RS9 Theatre Budapest, Cappadocia International Theatre Festival, City Center Theater N.Y., UAL London, Other Music Academy (OMA) Weimar, etc. In recent years he has been writing plays and poems. In 2024, he received an Honorary Distinction at the Delphic Poetry Games from the Panhellenic Association of Writers (P.E.L.) for his anti-war poem “The Porcelain Strip”.
