ANNA VEKIARI

Anna Vekiari was born and raised in Athens. She is the founder and artistic director of the professional inclusive dance group EXIS and co-founder of ISON THEATRE-CHOROS - the first inclusive workshop of systematic education for dance and theatre in Athens. She graduated from the Professional Dance School of “Anna Petrova” in 2010. She is a senior dance therapist of the Association of Greek Dance Therapists and Polestar Pilates Instructor. In the summer of 2012 she was certified in DanceAbility Teacher Training by Alito Alessi, a method of contemporary dance and improvisation for inclusive dance groups. She teaches classical and contemporary dance and improvisation to children and adults in an inclusive context. She has worked with various clubs for people with disabilities, schools, inclusive organizations and festivals in Greece and abroad. In 2015 she founded the dance group EXIS in which he dances and choreographs. EXIS participates in various European and Erasmus programmes and collaborates with dance groups and organisations in Greece and abroad. She also works as a dancer with independent groups.
